The State European School Berlin (Staatliche Europa Schule Berlin) is a special school offer in Berlin. The John F. Kennedy School is a public school financed by the Berlin Senate. Admission is granted through an application and lottery process.
Instruction is bilingual and based on a model that combines elements of the German and American education systems. About 1,600 students from Kindergarten to 12th grade attend the JFK school.

Nelson Mandela School
The Nelson Mandela School is an international state secondary school with a grammar school from Year 1 to Year 13. The school offers all school-leaving certificates of the Berlin School, including the bilingual Abitur, as well as the International Baccalaureate (IB).

International Baccalaureate Diploma Program

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a non-profit educational foundation that develops school programs and offers them worldwide. One of these programs is the IB Diploma, a secondary degree enjoying an excellent reputation at universities and colleges worldwide, which recognize it as evidence of readiness for university-level education. The tests are administered centrally for all IB students throughout the world. In addition to English, there are schools that offer the test in Spanish and French.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is one of the most widely recognized secondary education certificates worldwide. In the British school system it is regarded as the most important final examination for the lower secondary level (high school). This qualification forms a foundation for higher-level courses, such as A and AS Level, Advanced International Certificate of Education, the North American Advanced Placement Program and the International Baccalaureate.

General Certificate of Education (GCE)

The General Certificate of Education (GCE) is the British school-leaving qualification equivalent to the German Fachabitur. GCE Advanced (A) Level is also among the most widely recognized qualifications worldwide. A Levels have been accepted as a university and college entrance qualification for over 50 years.
